Sacred Heart Convent at Ranebennur, started on 4th November 1997 as the off shoot of Lourdes Convent, on 6th September 1996. It became a full-fledged community with Sr. Marisa as the first superior. Sacred Heart Convent is in one of the developing talukas in Haveri district with 110 villages with mixed population of different creeds and status. Though there are only 11 Catholic families, our presence is felt in this place because of our mission in teaching in Kinder Garden and Diocesan School. We regularly visit the families of our students, teachers and parishioners and pray with them. There is a follow up of ex-Alcoholics to help them live a decent life.
